You can switch between Rhythms, Plucks, and Sustained Notes by changing your playing method. Instrument libraries for guitars are divisive, and they don’t necessarily sound as natural as other virtual instruments. Some musicians will quickly dismiss a virtual guitar, insisting that the genuine thing is preferable.

While this is true, we could say the same thing about anything: I’d rather have a nine-foot Concert Grand and a collection of vintage keyboards than a copy of Keyscape, yet I adore it.

The problem with guitar libraries is that you need to think about context more thoroughly. With a piano or strings VST, for example, you may keep them out in the open to some extent and still get amazing results. However, if you want a synthetic guitar to sound authentic, you must think more about the lines/notes you play and where it sits in the mix.

The strumming patterns in LABS Electric Guitars are extremely useful, as evidenced by the demo (Louis Rugg – No Relation). It demonstrates how the many aspects of Electric Guitars may be used in the correct environment to create something credible.

While the sounds are versatile, the demo also serves as an excellent illustration of how to score a contemplative scene, which is what Spitfire Audio excels at.
